Rhynomodelation (Nose molding without surgery)
Rhynomodelation is a rhynoplasty without surgery achieving aesthetic results through an infiltration of filling materials under local anesthetic.
The nose is often a part of the body which we would like to change. Due to its size, shape, deviation or the existence of a nasal hump, the rhynoplasty is one of the most performed interventions.
However, not all patients are prepared to go through a surgery. The rhynomodelation or rhynoplasty without surgery is, in many cases, an efficient technique which offers very good results without surgery. Thus making it a valid alternative to an open or closed rhynoplasty, offering great advantages as it is an outpatient technique under local anaesthetic without the need for post operatory treatment.
Which problems can be treated with rhynomodelation?
The rhynomodelation is a relatively new technique which has gained a lot of popularity due to its efficiency, “simplicity”, speed and low risks. Comparable to lip sculpting or enhancement surgical techniques, many patients come to ask for information regarding this technique and to ask if their case can possibly be treated with a rhynoplasty without surgery.
The principal problems which we can correct with the rhynomodelation are:
- REMODEL THE END OF THE NOSE, making it more aesthetic especially in cases where the end is drooping (aquiline nose).
- IMPROVE THE ASPECT OF THE BRIDGE OR NASAL HUMP in patients with large nasal humps or practically erase them in patients with moderate humps.
- FILL the back part of the nose which is well marked naturally or through consequence of a previous rhynoplasty. These are “SADDLE NOSES”.
- CORRECT AND ALIGN A SMALL INCLINE OR IRREGULARITY caused by birth, consequence of a childhood traumatism or scars of a surgery. The purpose of a rhynomodelation is purely aesthetic. When there are also respiratory – functional problems, the solution is always surgical.
What does a rhynomodelation consist of?
The rhynomodelation is a technique which gives the possibility of good results, without the need to submit oneself to the risk and post operatory treatment of a common rhynoplasty.
Through a local anaesthetic we proceed with a filling of a biomaterial which can be permanent or temporary with which we achieve the enhancement of the volume in the deficient or sunken areas giving the nose a more harmonious global aspect.
The protocol of our Centre suggests that the patient have 1 or various sessions with temporary filling ( it is reabsorbed within approximately 1 year) allowing us to make a protocol sheet of the fillings received by the patient where the volumes are noted together with the exact places which have been infiltrated with resorbable material.
Within our protocol we achieve a better safety for the patient and for the surgeon, and the periodical visits allow the doctor-patient relationship to secure itself which is essential and recommendable for a satisfactory final result. This also allows us a greater personalization as the definitive results depend on the expertise of the surgeon with the filling but also through his interpretation of the objectives of the patient.
Is there post operatory treatment with a rhynomodelation?
The rhynoplasty without surgery does not require hospitalization.
How much does a rhynomodelation cost?
The price of a rhynomodelation or rhynoplasty without surgery ranges between $840 if only the temporary filling.
